I read that book my sophomore year in high school - over forty years ago. I haven’t seen it on the shelves lately.

Yeah, crimby. I read it about 40 years ago too.

I read it in highschool too, ~35 years ago. I wonder if it’s still required reading in today’s highschools? @Sharp

Some classes read it. Some read other classics. It often depends on the teacher. We read 1985 and Fahrenheit 451 instead, but I have read it on my own.

They had us read “The Lord of the Flies” too. Did you have to read that one?

I believe it was 1984, lol.
We read Fahrenheit 451 too.

Hey, @SzAdmin is the forum software being more fussy these days? It rejected my short answer above with an error message "the body text rejected, try to be more descriptive"
And I so carefully typed 1515… to ensure >15 characters

I wonder if it’s called “Celsius 232.78” in Europe. :nerd:

Thats a pretty common message when you type in too short a response. Please try to type in longer and more explanatory messages.

I regret not reading most the classics in hs…only one I read was catcher in the rye

And I liked to kill a mockingbird in ms.

But one of my earliest symptoms of sz was not being able to read. Still can’t read fiction.
