I have been on antipsychotics for five years with no relief of symptoms. After trying a lot of different ones, geodon, Risperidone, Abilify, haldol and another I can’t remember. The doctor put me on Invega. Now there is only one voice inside my head. I am getting six to eight hours of sleep a night. My stress level is down. I feel like I have discovered a wonder drug! Has anyone had the same experience?
Congratulations on finally finding something that works. I’m glad to hear you hit that spot of calm.
Yes… I’ve had this happen to me. I was so flattened and emotionless and almost immobile that when the Latuda got added, I was too numb to put up a fight about another med change.
But when the Latuda started working… Oh wow, it was pretty amazing. I wasn’t feeling to flattened, I had some thing in me that wanted to get up and get moving. The darkness and turbulence in my head started to calm down and the voices got less ugly and more benign. I still have a few of them… but now they are faint and don’t say much.
Glad your feeling so much better.
I’m glad you found yours. Calm is a word that I haven’t been able to use to describe me in a while you are so right. I hope that with a little tweaking they can get the voices to go away for you. As for me I have had voices constantly since I was eight until last Friday. It’s all very surreal! I keep waiting for them to come back.right now I am imagining this is how normal people live.
IT is a little odd when you get used to your brain working one way for so long… then all of a sudden… it’s different. It’s nice to hear that your feeling better.
Thank you for good wishes.
I find… I don’t mind the voices as much any more.
Back then it was the flat, emotionless, nothingness… void… that was doing me in.
Deep negative symptoms… a chair had more purpose and animation then I did at one point.
Congratulations @Saphire …
**Hurray!
Glad you found the one that works! **
