Hey so i saw a video on youtube tslking about a new treatment for schizophrenia. Its supposed to not block dopamine receptors as well like ulotaront but have a completely different mechanism of action. Anyone have any information on it?
This is the first time I’ve heard of this. It sounds like a promising treatment. Thanks for sharing!
First time I heard of it too!
Reading that article says its still in phase 2. So its going to come out sometime after ulotaront
there’s a lot to schizophrenia and psychosis other than dopamine.
Does it make you fat? Thats all i care about. They all work for me. Its just level of fatness at this point
Wow trials looking good just looked at the data. Maybe i will be thin again in this lifetime
Can someone in simple English describe the results of Ulotaront’s negative symptom scale scores in comparison to other antipsychotics and if it a drastic jump in improving negative symptoms?
No drastic jump unfortunately
They only compared ulotaront to placebo. They need to compare ulotaront to other antipsychotic drugs and see how it compares to know if its a good drug or not. There is 1 trial where ulotaront is being compared to seroquel and i think they willl see vast improvement when compared to seroquel. The drug wont come out for another 3 or 4 years in the USA
@Johnnrocato56
Why are you asking about ulotaront. This thread is about the even newer antipsychotic emraclidine.
