I’m in child psychology class in school and the professor is only doing her side job. She’s a school psychologist at an elementary school. She’s talking about warning signs …for anything. I feel when I was a kid which wasn’t that long ago. Wasn’t so recent either. But the point is all the warning signs were there for me to be mentally ill but the teachers weren’t as good back then at psychologizing. I know sz is a genetic disease but maybe it wouldn’t have been quite so turbulent if my professor had seen me as a child… she could’ve identified and seen the problem and life would’ve been better off maybe. Do you think there is better earlier intervention today then when you were a kid…based on what you know. ??
In ways we are living in much more difficult times. But I think there is hope. Because we are getting smarter in some ways… even if we are getting dumber in other ways… I admire my professor because she seems to really care about her children she teaches

It’s a beautiful day today here. My seasonal mood changes are going down due to good weather.

Early intervention seems to be a good idea. Prognosis would be better if diagnosis would be made earlier, idealy before psychotic transition which is today the common marker for diagnosis but too late.
