Glad I don’t smoke or vape anymore.

I tried vaping before. It was a hassle. I also heard about popcorn lungs and was terrified. I still smoke cigarettes, but make my own. It’s like $60 a month and I never run out. I have an electronic cigarette injector and buy the tubes and the tobacco at the tobacco store and I am happy now.

I really hope they don’t do this. I don’t think banning either will actually lead people to quit. I think it would just turn a bunch of addicts into criminals, like what has happened with the opiate crisis.

I think the best way to get people to quit is to change public opinion, with articles like these. At Starlet’s school, they did a bunch of parent information nights, where we learned that teens have stopped smoking, to the point the school doesn’t even bother with classes on the dangers of smoking anymore. Instead, they focus on warning kids about the dangers of vaping. Learning that reminded me of how, when I was a kid, we had a bunch of classes about why we need to wear seatbelts, but by the time my younger siblings started school, those classes had stopped, because public opinion had adjusted so that almost everyone was wearing their seatbelts.

I wonder what new thing his kids will have to be warned about in school, and what things the schools will no longer bother teaching them about.
