Drug induced, how are you doing?

I was smoking cannabis daily over almost three month and stopped from one day to the other. After a half year I again began to smoke weed when I had the chance, that was always an okay dose. One night I smoked a joint with a friend and on the next morning I was anxious and psychotic. Got in the hospital, stopped taking my medication, since then I had a few episodes with stopped taking my medication. At first I didn’t believe that it’s from the drug, so I smoked some pot once in a while after my first diagnos.

Since I take my meds regularly I’m doing well but I have problems to focus on things. I stopped cannabis and I don’t drink alcohol anymore. Also I do sports every day.

How are you guys doing?

I’m going on three months without drinking alcohol or smoking marijuana. I’m trying to stop vaping nicotine also. And also working on getting more regular exercise. Also I have a lot of activities to do around the house which are very physical like taking care of yardwork. I also am working on my diet. I’m trying to eat more regularly now. So I have more constant energy.

Are you diagnosed and that’s why you’re stopping?

Yeh weed can do that to a lot of people. I quit weed a while back and already feel better.

I was ready so many posts in different forums about downsides of cannabis use but most people said that even if you smoke a hell lot of it you should be safe…now look at that :sweat_smile:

People always say cannabis does nothing and it is safe. But they ridiculously wrong - the changes are well documented

I think as long as you don’t smoke regularly it’s quite safe.

It’s also the strength is a lot stronger today.

I drank a whiskey and coke last night. It was what was left from last weekend. Kinda a mistake. I haven’t felt great today. Been hallucinating a little. I hardly ever drink or smoke pot, but I’m done for a while anyways. Part of it could be I’m getting off my muscle relaxers and anti inflammatorys that I’ve been taking the past two weeks. I’ve had back problems. I’ve been laying down at home for the past three weeks. I’m ready to get my life back on track. New watch came in today though.

Per google:

Drug-induced psychosis typically only lasts until the drug has cleared from the body, and symptoms of drug-induced psychosis resolve quickly on their own, with or without treatment123. However, cocaine, PCP, and amphetamines may cause longer lasting symptoms that take several weeks to go away3. In some cases, drug-induced psychosis can become permanent, leading to the development of chronic psychiatric conditions45. Avoiding substances linked to psychosis is important, especially if you have had previous episodes of psychosis or already have mental health problems5.

Personally I don’t believe in “permanent drug-induced psychosis”…maybe when you are high you can become psychotic. If it’s permanent its probably cause you have a underlying disorder that was unleashed by drugs.

There was more I wanted to say but I fear getting banned too much for talking about this.

There’s also things that can be confused for psychosis such as HPPD

Just think, if you had a bad trip, keeping on smoking cannabis won’t help you return to sanity any quicker

I relapsed on cigarettes yesterday. Felt heavy and a bit depressed with it alongside irritable

Gonna have to take my quit more seriously because I need the savings.

Welcome to the forum @Matthias .:slightly_smiling_face::pray:t4:

I usually got paranoid and anxious when smoking pot.

I preferred other drugs.:slightly_smiling_face::crazy_face:
Ecstasy was my favourite.:heart:

I don’t do any drugs now.
Haven’t for many many years.

Probably better to stay away from it.

I drink small amounts of alcohol sometimes still .

Was sober five years then two years.

I quit smoking.:love_you_gesture:t4::partying_face:

I used to channel Cheech and Chong back in the day. I don’t know if weed is what gave me 24/7 alien crap, but I am sure it didn’t help.

I got sick from 1 gram of Skunk weed back in 2011. I think I tried Salvia too. Not sure. But my memory isn’t reliable anymore.

It’s not a bad trip,…it’s been four years sz :frowning:

Then its probably an underlying disorder unleashed.

It took me 13 years to recover from a bad acid trip :scream:

I’m doing good, thanks for asking.

I smoke THC too and I’m planning on quitting after my birthday on July 1st.

Nicotine will follow.

I had a good time in the 90s smoking cannabis resin. It was a nice high. When it all switched to skunk the vibe changed, the music went to ■■■■ and the kids started stabbing each other. I hate the stuff
