Drooling on Haldol

I keep forgetting to ask my pdoc about this, but will try to remember when I see her on Aug 1.

In the meantime, I want to ask you experts with personal experiences: I have been on 30 mg of Haldol for the past three years, with the exception of two months at 20 that didn’t work out. Since I started the high doses, I’ve noticed that I drool a lot more than I used to. In the middle of the night, yes, but also during the day. I can just bend over to pick something up and drool on the floor. Or just sitting concentrating on something, and I’ll start drooling out of the corners of my mouth.

Is this indicative of tardive dyskinesia, or just an annoying side effect?

I take 600 mg of Clozapine and 4 mg of Haloperidol and I drool a lot at night. Sometimes in the morning too.

I take Clozaril and I drool extensively when sleeping :frowning:

I’m on haldol oral and injection and used to drool when I first started it, but don’t anymore. Also when I increase my dose I’ll occasionally drool.

I take 80`mg haldol. I have no side effects…
