Drinking pickle juice

Dill kosher pickles are not sold in Portugal so for fathers day my wife got me a jar of vlassic dill kosher spears from amazon uk. I love them so much I want to get all the flavor I can get out of the jar. What do you think of drinking the brine after the pickles are finished?

I think it should be a mortal sin.

I’ve heard of people doing that to beat a drug test.

You could always put cucumbers in the jar and reuse the brine.

I think that might taste even worse than @anon4362788’s fire cider.:grin:

I would love to do that but I’m worried about spoilage

As long as they’re fully submerged, I wouldn’t think it would be a problem.

You could also make your own pickles. My friend does it and says it isn’t hard. She makes spicy pickles and they’re amazing.

No worries. I’ll drink the leftover olive brine. It’s good.

I think I read somewhere that pickle juice is good for you…I drink my pickle juice when I’m finished with the pickles…vinegar daily is good for you.

I used to drink the juice after green olives, dill pickles, and giardiniera. That is, until I developed high blood pressure, and they would upset my stomach. Lol miss those days
