Dreams of a 12 string Takamine guitar soon...(saving up)

It’s what keeps me from breaking down and buying a pack of cigarettes. I just stare at musician’s friend dot com all day at the Takamine 12 strings they have. I used to have a Takamine 12 string but it didn’t play very well. I left it in Florida when I moved from there. Anyways, I’m excited. Anybody else play a 12 string guitar?

You can self learn by learning to read tablature. there is many sites to get tablature online. Tablature is a series of lines and numbers designed to show you where to put your fingers. for instance, a 0 would mean open string and a 3 on any given line would show you to put your finger on the 3rd fret. there are six lines to guitar tablature and each line represents a string. It would only take a lesson or two from an instructor to teach you how to read tablature. Might try that. Playing the guitar is an amazing thing to do.

You should it’s a very fun activity. Just find an easy song you like and practice the sh*t out of it. Doesn’t really drown out thoughts or voices but you can get lost in the world of riffs.

Main thing is getting the guitar. Not sure of what’s what. Have looked around a few places. Might just take the plunge and see how the finances are the next couple of weeks. Just check out a few of the hock shops and just see which one calls to me the most.

If so I’ll come back to this post and check out the site out.

Share the eye candy.

You can get a nice 6 string acoustic at musician’s friend for around $79 dollars. look under Rogue guitars. Nice for beginners. that way you haven’t invested a lot. musician’s friend doesn’t charge tax and it’s free shipping. just a thought.

If that is an instructional video disc with the package it would be worth it…it’s a “cutaway” body too so you can get up the neck farther…cool dude.
