Recently my dreams have turned into delusions for either that day or a couple days. For example, I had a dream that it was doomsday and when I woke up, for the rest of the day I believed the world was gonna end. A longer one was that in a dream there were creatures dressed in human skin that came from the forest and I believed that for a week.
Does anyone else expirence this? Is it a delusion or is it a hyperactive imagination?
I do but my dream delusions are everyday things usually. I get confused as to whether I dreamt something or it happened.
Some I don’t ever know if they are real. Others i have to ask someone. Like sometimes I think someone told me something in a dream. So I ask them if they said it to me.
dreams influence me too.
I’ve done this before too.
I’ve always had incidents where dreams stuck with me for a day or two, but after starting antipsychotics, I notice these incidents last longer and bleed into everyday life and my thoughts a lot more. For example, I dreamed my son got injured while camping, and for the next day I kept thinking he had actually been injured – knowing he didn’t actually go camping, knowing the story was from a dream. Couldn’t shake it!
I’m also frequently confused when it comes to memory – what’s real, what’s invented (consciously or not), what’s dreamt. I experience deja vu often… if it’s a sign of psychic ability, I ought to open up a phone line. Or a website? How do modern psychics work?
