How many times I wish I’d spoken when I didn’t, but then there were times when I was glad to stay silent. I didn’t think muteness is a good way generally. A lot in this world really needs explanation.
Silence is often sweet - but my big mouth gets in the way!
A wise lady once told me… Shut mouths don’t get fed.
Sometimes it’s better to remain silent and be thought of as a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt.
IDK I’ve always worked on making sure my brain is in gear before engaging mouth. Otherwise I end up talking a million words a minute mostly with foot in mouth problems. Wish I had that foresight before I post on forum boards somedays.
i can’t talk…"i’m in a library…ssssshhhhhhhhhh !?! "
take care
" dark sith please be quiet !"
Empty barrels make the most noise. Lol
hey,
I’m from a family of talkers and I think it helps no ends!
It helped flipping out from reality. It helped getting back in reality. It helped dealing with a crappy reality!
I think talking has a lot to do with recovery from schizophrenia…even for those who are constantly symptomatic!
I tend to think that talking adds to the brain and puts neural pathways in that are greatly beneficial! I tend to think those who do well in life can talk! Helps to get a job, Get a girlfriend/boyfriend, get a life!
Dealing with others is important I feel wholeheartedly!
Talk, talk, talk! If your symptomatic then practice makes you better able to deal with social situations and that isn’t a bad thing! We are social animals…It’s curious that people in third world countries do better with schizophrenia but I think that is because it’s family based and you need to communicate!
My two cents from a happy camper.

i really want to talk more but there were times where i dont know how to begin talking?i will try and share and talk more, and not feel shy or scared.i had fear of talking,is there such a phobia?
i would like to give you two “likes” but could’nt do that,
talking is a very good form of exercising,it exercise your brain and mouth, these are two which i needed the most
hey,
Yes. There’s actual symptoms which occur which affect you talking! I’ve suffered by being psychotic and people talking to you and your trying to find the words to respond and although you feel you need to your unable to respond!
I’m just saying that talking is a great skill! It’s learned and the only way you learn it is by doing it! If your having problems then work towards it…I know it’s hard and I’m very lucky to have the upbringing I’ve had!
