I’m going away in 108 days. I don’t want to drink alcohol in that time. Do you think the cravings will subside within that time as really want to carry on drinking while on vacation. I want to quit totally.

It started to get better after the first three months, at least for me.
Prepare yourself mentally for what you might have to deal with. You will be okay.
You need to keep busy. I used to drink beer everyday but even though it wasn’t high alcohol content it was regular. I got off simply adding exercise. It pays back as you not only gets your fitter but it also replaces that behavior where you want to drink.
I would start small but build up into some decent, regular exercise. You feel like a beer then do some push ups. It’s not easy but you get an endorphin kick anyways and it can become addictive in itself. It really can make a big difference.
It’s a bit like the smokes to . You have to be ready to give it up.
Get yourself to an AA meeting. You can look one up on the internet local to your area.
Dont be afraid to ask for help, you may not be able to do it on your own.
Don’t burden your mindset - that you are not going to drink for 100 days. It may overwhelm you.
Just have a daily mantra, that you are not going to drink for today.
You may do well to get a liver function test done as well. And dont forget your vitimans, especially Vit B.
I struggle to make it one day alcohol free. The addiction is real and it sucks.
Lower your expectations then. Tell yourself, I’m not going to drink for a couple of hours.
The reason its got a hold over you, its because ITS YOU giving it the power over your life.
Take back control. Let the madness ensue in you head. Its just a drink. You can get rid of it if you want too.
Your brains been so used to it for years, its gonna mess with you, so it can get hold of it.
My alcoholic Uncle once told me after years of sobriety he could still taste the first time he drank alcohol. Beating addiction of any kind is a daily struggle and I’d like to congratulate you on 100 days.
