Does topiramate help with restlessness

Does topiramate treat symptoms of anesthesia and tardive dyskensia?

Topiramate can help with the tremor caused by some antipsychotics, it may help with akathesia but I have never known anyone who has tried it for that. Tardive dyskinesia is treated by changing the antipsychotic to another one or by reducing the dose, established cases of TD are difficult to treat, vitamin E can sometimes help a little bit.

the tremor is what happened 2 weeks after I asked my pdoc to lower the topiramate dose. So, in my infinite wisdom, it appears I gave my own self tremors. Lovely. However, it is nice to know the probable problem and solution. Thank you @Simonw.

Have you looked into Cogentin and Propranolol?

See doc on Monday. I am thankful to go with an education. We have been working very well together now for the past year. I know am becomig more aware of my illness, and he is able to help me more.
I cannot tell you how many years I would just blindly go to see the pdoc and just say yeah, Im fine…get me out of here, I have kids to take care of…and 4 kids I did.
My personal well being just came second to everything else, and I did not even take a minute to think about what was happening to my body because for some reason I do not think I even think my body belongs to me sometimes.
But now its an adventure trying to find out what works and what doesn’t, a challenge to get through those times you and I know about, and rewarding that there are those moments, however rare, of peace.
oh, sorry. Got on stream of consciousness there.
Yes, thank you, I will ask my pdoc about those meds

Topiramate can help with the Shakiness induced by certain Antipsychotics.
Not used this way so much.

Topimirate or brand name topamax made me bitchy, lose all interest in food and didn’t help with tremors or tardive dyskinesia. I went from 113 to 83 over the period I was on it. Now I’m on artane and it helps. The generic is too hard to spell. I’ve had no side effects from it and have been on it for quite awhile
