I can’t wake up in the morning and it’s ruining my work.
I’m 34. I know I’m not old. But I’ve had it since I was 17. I was very bad in my 20’s. It was the most difficult time of my life. Finally things have settled down.
I wish I could have had this treatment and been willing to have this treatment (also been able to get this sort of help) in my 20’s because I am doing so much better.
I can imagine recovery improves. Ups and downs in life. But this far my recovery has improved slowly.
I think yes too. positive symptoms get milder as you grow older.
I did lower my dose on my own and now I have voices all day. it’s not a good idea.
Im on 10 mg zyprexa i want to cut the pill in half and take 5 and see how i do
I was taking 12mg risperidone and I split it in half 6mg. now I have voices all day long. my doc increased my dose to 9 but I am waiting to kick in. why you want to decrease it?
I cant wake up in the mornings. Also my dick isnt working that well.
But mainly i cant wake up for work
The theraputic dose of zyprexa is 10mg. If you go lower then you’re coming off meds basically.
also one reason for me to decrease the dose aside from erectile dysfunction was to see if I am still crazy. and it seems that I am.
Proof?

ok. why don’t you say that to your doc?
What is meds, what is recovery. On high dose Abilify. No reducing dose says my pdoc. I feel pretty good except for this numbing ■■■■ anhedonia. I am high functioning. I was not when I became ill 10 years ago. I was a complete disaster. I could not pay bills or cook food. I did not know how.
Clinical trials.
Well i might aswell stop it then if 5mg does nothing
You’ll become a danger to yourself or others if you stop it probably. Make an earlier appointment with your doctor and discuss things with them. Don’t come off your meds.
why don’t you share your concerns with your doc?
I told mine about erectile dysfunction and she suggested that I should take injections cos they have fewer side effects. there is hope. talk with your doc.
My social worker told me a decade ago it should improve as I "mature"
I don’t know if it’s got much better but I do know I handle it better and manage it well
I’m 53 years old and over all the illness has gotten worse.
Especially the negative and cognitive symptoms.
Relax because everyone is different.
YES, it does. It gets better after about age fifty. The positive symptoms get better anyway. The cognitive and negative symptoms get worse.
My mother is 60, she had been almost always off meds and her cognitive symptoms got MUCH worse.
