Since starting risperidone two weeks ago I’ve had four bad dreams. Is there a correlation? Also, I’ve had a few nights where I couldn’t sleep.

To my knowledge it’s not a known side effect but the meds impact everyone differently. When I first started on Seroquel it gave me very vivid dreams. So I won’t say it’s impossible. When I was on risperidone it didn’t impact my dreams.

I never slept well on risperidone, I hate it

Risperdal is used to treat nightmares. If anything, it causes nothing but sweet dreams in me @Hadeda.

I had bad dreams for years. They have lessoned considerably after my lifestyle became more active. Is there a correlation? Probably. I don’t know exactly what that would be though.
Just more things to dream about besides bad stuff? IDK.
I firmly believe Risperdal produces nightmares. When i was on injections i had nightmares twice a week each 1 more terrific and vivid than the last

Idk if its the same for everyone else, but when i was on it i had multiple vivid and bad dreams. My movement was somewhat robotic. Lastly for some very odd reason, it made it very hard for me to hold in going to the bathroom, Like if i had to go to the bathroom i had to literally go immediately or risk having an accident. This was for number 1s and 2s. I leaked small amounts of urine in my pants almost everyday and one time when i had to go work on the drive there i had to number 2 and when i got in the building i didnt make it when i was halfway to the bathroom.. i didnt shi myself completely like 50% tho. threw away my underwear and washed off parts of my pants with papertowls then started my shift🤷♂️
