Vivid Dreams

I noticed since being on the risperidone, ive been having a lot of vivid dreams, dreams where i dont want to wake up from them. Like yesterday i Had a dream I was with my best friend taking a picture who unalived when we were 14. We dont have any pictures together irl, because i hated cameras. So when I woke up i felt very sad. Part of me hopes he came and visited me in my sleep. I do miss him quite a lot. Think about him everyday, and im 30 now. Those things just stick with you.
I suppose the night I discovered his death was the most traumatic. Went to his house that night to check on him, it was march 31st so we thought it was an april fools joke. Then i started hearing everything his family was wailing. TRAUMATIC. Lol

So you can see why any moment with him is cherished. Wish I could go back to that dream.

I have very vivid dreams also. It was on risperidone when it started as well. I hate mine. It’s so vivid that I now don’t know if a experience happened in a dream, or in real life.

I just wish I could stay asleep forever and enjoy my dreams. I feel like I always wake up right before things get good. (not true, but thats how i feel about the dream last night as i dont remember it anymore) The rest of them were so vivid i cant forget them. And I was teleporting and ziplining through malls and with my loved ones.

I dream vivid dreams and only get glimpses when I wake up…if I purposely try to remember my dreams as soon as i wake up I can dwell on it so I remember it like you have shown…I see my granparents and my loved ones a lot when I sleep…I know what you mean…best to live in this world though dear…this is the real world.

It used to happen to me with Klonopin withdrawal. I got many vivid dreams in that phase.

I often have very vivid dreams too. I feel like I always have though.
I’m really into them as well  Sometimes they are very enjoyable.
Do you get that sensation of disorientation when you wake up from a particularity vivid one?

I usually roll around and try to fall back asleep (very rarely am i successful at catching a few more minutes, usually when I wake up, iM UP!) Its so pleasant I usually just lay there and think about the dream while I wake up. Im pretty aware in those moments.

Risperdal is known for psychedelic dreams. I had one when on it I was in another dimension. I wonder why I got so sleepy in the past? I’m not experiencing that so much now but I sleep a lot and I don’t sleep because of medication. I am on too low a dose.

Interesting! I always worry that im the only one experiencing these strange side effects, so thats comforting to know. Not sure why I freak out about that. Lol For some reason as well I sleep better in louisiana at my parents house than i do in my house in virginia with my bf. I go to lousiana every three months to see my doctors and visit with my parents, and i never have to take anything to help me fall asleep. Ive been back two days in virginia and have been having trouble falling asleep. Weird
