I believe the negative symptoms are a side effect of the drug and no the disease by itself. Do you guys think im right?

Yes my man, especially the Injections causes loss of joy. Even the admin knows that. Yet, she still wants people on drugs even tho they reduce you quality of life. Makes no sense

Always important to treat things like depression. Very common with sz and can make negatives worse. I would still say that ap’s aren’t the whole story.
a word of advise if you can recover and improve without meds,you will be happy for it.meds definitly cause sideffects.just like every medicine
This site is very pro drugs. Im just warning you guys that negative sides of schizo aren’t thing. It is caused by the drugs. The drugs cures the positives and as a side effect causes the negatives

We are pro medications because it works. Negatives are an issue as you say because positives are largely controlled. That doesn’t mean ap’s cause negatives which were present well before medications so it’s a more complicated story than what you are suggesting.

I would agree with you. I take 4 meds 2 antipsychotics and 2 antidepressant, and have terrible apathy and indifference.
Yes, APs make negative symptoms even worse.

Antipsychotics cause and or worsen negative symptoms, when you look at what happens when dopamine is reduced scientifically , the only result is apathy, anhedonia, loss of motivation, loss of pleasure and purpose . Some psychiatrist’s get away with denying science, but for how long. It’s the antipsychotics that cause something even worse than depression.

True but positives are worse than negatives for me. They’re life threatening.
Also positive symptoms worsen negative symptoms bcz of paranoia. That’s why ppl without meds also have some negative symptoms.

Meds can also cause symptoms similar to negs but in my experience the real ones that comes from sz are much stronger, you can see this very clearly in low functioning schizophrenics.

On my meds I get dead feelings (and avolition especially)
Off meds I feel more roller coaster-ish but my depression and deadness even worse
So I’d say it’s both meds and sza/sz
