Does exposure therapy work for paranoia?

I know it’s great for phobias and social anxiety. Has anyone gotten less paranoid by forcing themselves to be around people?

During psychosis, being around people or being alone didn’t make much difference for me. When alone, voices would overpower me. And when with other people, I would mishear what they said or misinterpret how they looked at me etc. Outside episodes I’m not paranoid at all.

I don’t think exposure would benefit paranoia. Unless the environment and conversation are completely neutral. Deep breaths, thought stopping/distracting may be a better strategy.
