I’ve been on the Invega Sustenna injection for 6 weeks now. I’ve noticed major improvement in my hallucinations. Only thing to note is I got very very depressed during the med change and ended up in the hospital, it could be unrelated to the Invega though.

It does some things for me. I’m tired of life

Well its suppose to control those symptoms. Works for some and some it doesnt. I still have too big of an appetite on it so yes it causes weight gain.

I have been on it for 2 years 6 months now. Its been okay. Yes it does cause weight gain. I have been gaining 2 lbs a month. But I also don’t exercise and use to drink on it. I stopped drinking so I hope to stop the weight gain. I think I’ll be on it for life cause it’s kept me out of the hopital. Use to be in hospital every year. Longest I’ve been out hospital for in 8 years.

I’m on the highest dose of Invega and have lost 35 pounds since starting it.

I’m on Invega and it works good for me. It has kept me from being hospitalised in nearly 3 years, before that I was being involuntary hospitalised every 6 months on Abilify until I maxed that med out… I have lost weight on it. I find it a good medication.

@anon4362788 I remember our conversation on getting the injection and a lump forming. I got my one arm a month and a half ago, and I still have the lump, still not changing it’s size. The other arm, I got last week, the nurse did right, it didn’t even hurt a lot and there is no lump. Should I be concerned? I didn’t go with the gluteal injection because when I lay down I don’t want to be in pain and I can lay another arm

It doesn’t really hurt in the hip. A touch sore, then nothing. I was scared to try it at first but once I tried it and saw and felt the difference, wow! Will try to never go back to the arm

Okay, I’ll tell the nurse the next time I prefer the hip. Thanks for letting me know.

N o problem. I love Invega. I hated it at 156, but moving to 234 cleared my mind so much. I don’t have the wild swings unless my shot wears off like this month. I missed getting my shot on time. Am having g issues npw.

Sorry to hear that, even when you relapse like that it takes for ever to think clear again. I agree with the clarity. I like it for that reason too, and it makes me more grounded in reality

I’ll be fine in a few days. I get really irritable and sometimes straight up mean on withdrawal

Same here, wondering if I should consider getting it every 3 weeks? Because my irritability started 4-5 days before the due date, only time nurse was able to fit me in was a day before. I was being nasty as hell to my mom and my boyfriend

A lot of people switch to every three weeks because of that. I hardly ever have an issue since changing.
