Does anyone here have epilepsy or know someone who does?

I have simple partial seizures and take 200 mg of lamictal twice a day for it. I was wondering if anyone else has experience in dealing with epilepsy.

My cousin has epilepsy. He wasn’t allowed to drive until three years ago.

They said I was okay for me to drive because I never fully lost consciousness.

Yeah my younger brother has it very mildly. He doesn’t get grand mal seizures just partial motor ones where it looks like he gets the chills all the time. I think he is supposed to be on depakote but he never takes it because the side effects are worse than the actual seizures. The only reason he agreed to try meds was because the scumbag doctor reported him to the state and got his license taken away unless he did it, despite his seizures not affecting his consciousness or capability to drive whatsoever.

My husband has a severe former of temporal lobe epilepsy. He gets seizures at least 8-10 times a month. He gets deja vu spells which sometimes leads to loss of consciouness. He isn’t allowed to drive due to his seizures but when he’s having a good patch I let him as we installed second brake pedal in car on passenger side. He loves driving it’s so sad that his epilepsy disables him like this. He is on lamotrigine and topiramate but the seizures aren’t totally controlled.

My Mom has epilepsy and has had a few grand mal seisures. Stress has triggered smaller seizures for her. She’s also not able to drive. If you feel weird at all in the car, pull over immediately until it passes

I had epilepsy when taking Geodon.
