Does anyone here collect pocket knives?

I love a good useful pocket knife. I know they’re weapons, but I look at them as primarily a tool. I probably use my knife over ten to fifteen times a day between work and homelife.

Michigan legalized automatic knives like switchblades and out the front knives, but to be honest they’re not my favorite. IMO its a gimmick. You can open manuals at close to the same speed, and a lot of manuals have one handed opening now, plus on every automatic and assited knife I’ve owned, they lose their speed on opening once the springs and mechanisms wear out.

I’m looking at getting a benchmade mini griptilian, because I’ve always wanted a benchmade. I own mostly bucks and gerber. I have a cold steel, but the blade is too long to legally carry in Michigan, unless I’m using it for hunting.

Is anyone else here a pocket knife collector? If so post some pics of your collection!

If this is too triggering I can ask the mods to close or delete it, and I’ll go join a blade forum to discuss my hobby/fetish there.

Haha I have close to 30 knives if you count my fixed blades, bayonet, and pocket knives.

My favorite is this beautiful bowie knife with an authentic stag handle.

Most of my knives are buck, I have a couple of gerbera, a case, a SOG, 3 old timers, a Barlow, and a bunch of odd companies that I’ve never heard of.

I have a very nice custom from a small company called Vehement Knives, they dont make that knife anymore and it was expensive, so I dont really take it anywhere.

i used to. We still have a few. I use them as tools. i used to farm and needed one at alltimes.

I bet you had to use a knife a lot! What brand of knives was your most reliable? I bet you really put a knife through its paces on a farm.

What kind of dagger is it, if you dont mind me asking?

I had one cheap dagger, but I’d like to get a medieval dagger at some point.

i have a kershaw oso sweet which i always have with me a couple cheap balisongs and karambits and a crkt knife, i like knives but i dont spend much on them

Copperhead, I think was the brand.

Nice! One thing I have learned about knives is that you hit the point of diminishing return very quick. With the right maintenance a 30 dollar knife is just as good as a 100 dollar knife. They all cut stuff lol.

I’m a gearhead though, I have inexpensive knives and expensive knives. I find myself carrying inexpensive knives more, because if I losd it or it breaks I’m not out $150.

That does sound like a beautiful dagger!

I own one copperhead fixed blade. It’s a pretty darn good knife.

My second choice is Buck knives.

Haha, I’m a buck fan boy. I’m trying to expand my knife horizons but I love the classic look and am not the biggest fan of tactical. I own like one “tactical” knife.

I like knives too. I don’t really collect them but I buy them every so often. I like Bowie knives. I used to be in the army. I carried a knife there. *
