Does anyone have info on cbd and sz?

Does anyone have info on cbd and the effects it has on people with sz? I was in my favorite vape store and was looking around and found that they sold cbd and I saw on a sheet of paper for stuff it helps it said sz was one of them… I was hoping someone had more info.

It only works for certain people I think. I smoke CBD hemp all the time. It’s hard to tell how it affects me really, seeing as I take 2 antipsychotics as well, it’s hard to get a feel for the CBD. You can buy CBD hemp oil everywhere these days, but you will need about 300-400mg of it. I just buy CBD hemp buds which at 10.8% CBD and 0.3% THC.

I am waiting for some more hard evidence and some major pharmaceuticals to complete their studies before trying myself, however, this biased seller of cbd has this article: https://www.solcbd.com/blogs/cbd-science/antipsychotic-potential-of-cannabidiol-revealed

labratmat it appears that there is too much emphasis on antipsychotic effect
and too little on cognitive effect.
Without cognition you can’t function,period.

Same here…!!

In this article it states a study with amisulpride and cbd used to combat sz and it talks about less negative effects
"Not only was [CBD] as effective as standard antipsychotics, but it was also essentially free of the typical side effects seen with antipsychotic drugs.”

“He notes that CBD not only had fewer side effects, but also seemed to work better on schizophrenia’s so-called “negative symptoms,” which are notoriously hard to treat.”

It sounds interesting.
If it manages to treat even just positive symptoms but free of side effects,
that’s awesome for many people!
If it also helps with cognition, negative symptoms that’s even more awesome!
Let us hope that it will live up to its billing.

I must add this is from 2012, and would have hoped for further progress by now, don’t you think?

Gw pharma has already given up marijuana pills…hope other company are still researching on cbd…

I really like CBD hemp either way. Every time I have the odd beer it’s usually followed by CBD dose. Yeh GW pharmaceuticals have given up, but the company in the video I posted above are actually using CBD in practice right as we speak. GWs just more focused on epilepsy. They have got some positive data on their site. Then again CBD might only work for certain people, the same goes for epilepsy. Who bloody knows?

Thanks for the link @everhopeful. I hope echo pharmaceuticals can learn to make a CBD medicine from what they have. Don’t get your hopes up about CBD people, just incase. But still I enjoy using CBD, and if it doesn’t help my schizophrenia, i wonder if it’ll help in other areas. Who knows?

have cbd oil hard to judge how much to vape though… seems to help anxiety and mood… doesn’t seem to help me with hallucinations… but neither does any of the aps ive had so far… good insight + regular sleep is the best thing I have so far… might not stop the hallucinations but atleast I can tell what they really are…
