Yes. It was amazing animation for it’s time…but I remember the amazing 8 bit computer game world so I guess I’m old enough to have seen it when it was cutting edge…,…Now my phone has more power.

At the time, someone told me the name tron came from a computer comand “trace on’ (tron) as opposed to 'trace off” (troff).

Tron was cool! At that time the special effects where considered top notch. I think I was around 15 when that came out.

Saw it in a theatre when it was new. Mind-blowing visually, the story… Eh. Tron Legacy was visually compelling, but the story honked it even worse than the first film.
