I want to buy this tv but I don’t know if it’s stupid. I only watch roku, not cable or dish.

That’s a good deal, I have Roku it’s fun. Might be worth getting a 4k tho if your budget allows, more apps support 4k, and 8k is becoming mainstream now, so prices of 4k will go down.

Sorry if that’s an intrusive question. You’ve just been posting about a lot of big purchases lately and then mentioned in a comment the other day that you’re extremely poor.
Not passing judgement, just thinking about my own experience putting things on credit, things getting out of control and eventually being sued by the bank for nonpayment. It was very stressful.
The bank sued you? For how much? What happened?
I stopped paying and they called me incessantly. Even after I changed my number they found out where I worked and started calling me there. At a retail store, on the main line. Then they served me papers. I think I owed like 8 grand.
This was Discover Card. They were ruthless.

Um, you’re buying a lot of things lately it seems like. Do you have the money? Is something going on? (for instance, I always thought that it is a common symptom of being bi-polar to go on spending sprees).

I don’t know, I guess I have been kind of upset lately and spending too much money to make myself feel better. I should stop spending. I really don’t have the money. It’s all going on debt faster than I can pay it off.

Yeah, I spend money sometimes to make myself feel better so I can relate. But be careful and don’t dig yourself further into a hole.
If you realize you’re spending too much-----then stop! Being in debt is really demoralizing so stop while you can.

This happened to me. In fact we think its the stressor that led to my first major psychotic break. I mean, I was already showing signs of psychosis for a while, but getting sued by the credit card company was the iceberg ripping through the hull.
I dont even have a credit card now. The idea of going to court makes my stomach churn. It is up there on my list of things that bother me.

You can get most major news channels by individual app or on Pluto TV which is free. There are many apps like Netflix and Hulu that contain shows, there are so many options, many free with a Roku or fire TV or what not vs cable.

The Roku cost me about $25 that was a one time purchase off Amazon, it’s a little doohickey you hook up to the tv and it picks up the internet. So you can watch Youtube on your tv and you can watch Roku tv, and Pluto, and a bunch of stuff, you can subscribe to Netflix for a fee, I’m not sure how much, my sister pays for it for us. You can watch your Amazon Prime, and I think all the other subscription services too. There’s no monthly fee for Roku other than your normal internet fee that you pay anyway. I don’t know about CNN specifically. But I can check next time the tv is free and let you know.

With Roku you just install Youtube, login and subscribe. Its easy and there is CNN.
