I did have an old 13" CRT TV with an analog HDTV converter box. I got a RCA 19" TV/DVD combo. It wasn’t the cheapest one. I didn’t know if they all receive broadcast TV, so I looked at the reviews for one that mentioned an antenna connection.
Two years ago I got a great deal on Black Friday for a smart tv. It has an amazing picture on it.
What’s a smart tv?
A smart tv connects to the internet and you can watch youtube etc on it.
Thanks everhopeful. Did you see @Moonbeam 's joke about a Ham Radio?
Lol.
Please treat yourself and get a Roku
No i missed it …
Thanks mike0882. I’m really old. Just traded my landline in for a smartphone four years ago or so.
Seriously, treat yourself and get a Roku.
They’re like $30. I survive without cable tv cuz of the roku. And there is no monthly recurring billing. Just spend $30 and you’re done.
It’s been a few years since I have heard about a Ham Radio. I have an AMFM portable radio.
Another worthwhile investment if you even moderately like music is a music streaming subscription. They’re like $10 a month.
Apple Music/Spotify /etc
Thanks mikev0882.
There’s a free radio app and website. You can use it on phones or on a computer. Its called TuneIn. Also some phones have integrated FM radio, no need for internet. Mine does.
Thanks Aziz. 15
