we have been without any t.v. to watch movies now for almost two months…then all of a sudden…if I can just be patient…we will soon get a streaming roku t.v. for the house after Christmas…can’t wait…!!
I’m really happy for you! Being without T.V, really sucks!
oh thank you…yes it’s been hard…
We just got a new streaming service here in Canada and my wife was all excited about it. It’s called Pluto. I put the app on the TV. It works like a cable service in that there are channels and shows appear at set times, it’s not exactly on demand. I started scrolling through the shows and it be like…
- Dora the Explorer
- Mork and Mindy
- Three’s Company
- Love Boat.
Gaaaaaaaaaaaaak. So that’s why it’s free.
The plugin drug…love it!
Hey @jukebox, get a Roku TV if you can. It comes with the free Roku channel. It does have commercials, but there is some really good content on there. My wife and I are currently working our way through Chris Kimball’s Milk Street cooking shows.
Hey Raptor, here in the states you can watch movies on Pluto, but there are commercials. Kinda weird how they don’t have that feature on the Canadian app.
@shutterbug yes it’s going to be a roku t.v. I have a question…do I sign up for netflix streaming on my home pc or do it through my t.v.?
There are movies on Pluto here, too. Really old and often really bad.
Home PC is easier. Suggest holding off and trying some free services first like Roku Channel, Pluto, and Popcorn Flix to name a few.
I like Peacock. They often have deals. Hulu often has deals for $1.99 a month. Oh and if you have Amazon Prime you get Prime Video and FreeVee.
Amazon Prine is worth it and since you get Snap you can get Prime for $6.99 a month
thank you so much @anon4362788
