Does anybody else sleep all day?

Welcome @Croopman! The day sleeping sucks the big one and hopefully you’ll ride out the fog of i Vega if it’s relatively new. If you’ve been on it a while you might want to talk to the pdoc about your sleeping. It’s never good to sleep all day away every day. But I eis day there are days when I just can’t get out of bed. And not like I’m tired…more like my Brain and eyes are concrete I become a lifeless vessel.

@Leaf

When I want to sleep, I take six pills.

First I take 20 mgs. of Trilafon (perphenazine). I take two 8 mg. tablets and one 4 mg. tablet of perphenazine at bedtime. These pills have a significant short-lasting antianxiety effect.

I also take one Bone All pill. It is from the bones of New Zealand cows and has a calming effect on me. The thought is Calcium is calming.

Additionally, I take 50 mg. of Trazadone. That definitely puts people in the mood for sleep.

Finally, I take 25 mg. of Seroquel. That would be a subclinical dose for an antipsychotic effect, but an optimum dose as a sleep aid.

It tends to be about 12 or more hours after I take those pills until I am much awake again.

@Croopman I often sleep until 4 PM.

I mostly sleep all day, go out for a walk or two in the afternoon.

I usually will go to bed around 2am and wake up at 10am - 11am, but during the day and evenings before I’m off to bed, I lay down on my couch a lot and also nap at around 10pm for a couple of hours.

Maybe cos she is part of anonymous! :tongue:

If I’m up at night I can sleep most or all of the day away. But I need to sleep at night since I have appointments during the day. The woman who usually gives me rides for ACT said I may need a med adjustment to be able to sleep at night since I sometimes wake up and can’t fall back to sleep right away. I see my med nurse on Friday. I hope I can get something for sleep and anxiety.

I normally sleep 12-14 hours a night, from 9pm to like 10am-ish. Lately I’ve been napping for like 3 hours after lunch as well.

I usually have to force myself to get up if not I’ll end up sleeping the whole day. I’ve noticed that the days where I sleep for than 9 hours I feel depressed when I wake up and it takes longer for the sleepiness to go away.

I also take 25mg Benadryl for sleep as well which completely knocks me out. It’s just seems like there is one problem after another. I sleep too much I wake up depressed, sleep too little and don’t feel well rested, take my medication and it knocks me out, don’t take my medication than won’t be able to sleep. What a cruel illness.

I’m on invega too. On some nights I’ve fallen asleep around 4am and woken up in the afternoon. It really messed with my sleep cycle and I slept late every night for some time. Now I take 50 mg of quetiapine most nights to help me sleep early, I’m planning to take it less once I’m used to sleeping earlier but for now I need it, especially because I’ve been having anxiety and negative thoughts and they get worse in the evening.
