Does abilify increase your appetite? I’m on 30mg and was wondering if that was why I was so hungry. I thought abilify wasn’t supposed to cause weight gain as bad as other aps? Idk
Yeah, its had the same effect for me. Not as much as the other ones but still an effect regardless

Yeah I can eat constantly. Pretty hard having to fight off my appetite

Sorry man, its true, i go through phases of fhe same. Theres nothing you can do other than try building discipline like a set routine for when you have meals and hope it works

Yea I eat more than anyone I know these days.
I’m on abilify. My dose went up last year and now I’m fat.
It makes me reminisce about when I was on 2.5mg and skinny.
Such good times.
Except the psychosis…

It didn’t make me want to eat, but the same med. can affect different people differently. Abilify made me a little more antsy than I cared to be. They eventually had to take me off it.
As bad as other ap is the keyword
I’m on 5mg right now. I just started, and I feel very manic. I am really struggling to get any sleep at all. My poor husband was so dismayed when tonight, I popped up into a sitting position after sleeping for less than two hours. The night before, it was 1 1/2 hours, and the night before that was between 3 and 4 hours. I don’t do well when I don’t sleep; I always feel it makes me take stupid risks. But no weight gain in the past few days.
Yet.
I am not hungry these days dont feel like to have food at all…
For me, this medicine dont makes me hungry.
Im only of this now and im like new person. Im feeling good. Lots of energy and calm thoughts.
I dont want to back at old ill me.
I don’t know yet, but I can tell you that it is making me feel almost manic. I am obsessed with cleaning everything out atm, and I’m talking so fast. I’ve gotten somewhere between 9 and 10 hours of sleep in three nights. I wake up and have to log into my bank and check my household lists (budget, appointments, to do, meal plan, etc). Over and over and over.
Tried many ap’s and I think all of them make me eat more.
Day 5 or 6 of abilify though and it is def my favorite ap.
