Does 2 mg of Risperdal work for you?

I have just started on it today, but I was wondering if anyone needs to take a higher dosage?

I take 1.5mg a day, it’s been working for me so far.

What were your symptoms before yo started taking it? My voices are non-stop Im mainly interested in shutting them up.

My symptoms are mainly hearing voices but now I don’t hear them at all.

I’m on the long acting shot, 37.5 mg and I take 2mg at night and I still have happenings. Not everything has gone, but a lot has gone away. I don’t want to lose anymore though.

2 mg is considered to be a pretty low dose - I take 2.5 mg of Risperdal currently, which is still pretty low.

I went as low as 1.5 mg but my moods began to cycle - 2.5 mg seems to be the perfect dose for me.

My pdoc does not want me to go lower than 2.5 mg.

I need way more than 2 mg of it, I take 2,2 mg currently(can take such a precise dose because I have it as a solution), in addition to that I’m on 400mg Abilify shot and 160 mg of Ziprasidone, so yea, 2 mg can be not nearly enough for some people. I’ve read the maximum dose of Risperdal to be 16 mg, I have no idea how one could tolerate that, the most I was on was 4,1 mg with 160 mg of Zeldox(Ziprasidone) and the akathisia was so bad I was pacing all waking hours, including meals. Also the prolactin was very high when I was on that dose. I’ve been upping my Risperdal because lately it seems that the Ziprasidone seems to be pooping out.
