14 years of this, just now getting around to read about other’s experiences. is it ttypical for voices to try ton convince you that they are real, not a figment of your imagination? pretty standard of mine to… they insist I’m an idiot for thinking theyre not real, and give me pretty solid evidence of their "real"ness, like telling me things I wouldn’t know, or having life accurately mirror the things they say are happening. I know logically they cant be real, but they seem to think differently and are sure to remind me that “this is all very real” as often as possible.

They are just evil people trying to brainwash me. They want dumb lying lunatics to run people’s lives.
For years i thought “vicky” my voice was real and an angel. But now with a bit of insight i know its my brain. I had schizophrenia for years - but they picked up on me late - and once i got the label, i researched it - and things made alot of sense.
Ive had her nearly 25 years. Strangely, i named her after my old probation officer.
Shes more of a pain in the arse these days - so most of the time she doesnt distress me.
