I have learned to observe to notice to recognize to acknowledge to accept to own to appreciate to understand that this is what The Voices do. If I do that for a few minutes, the “force” they have sort of evaporates, and I can go on with whatever I was doing without all the crotchety yack yack, threatening, guilt-heaping, shaming, remorse, regret and morbid reflection. (I was raised Pentecostal, btw.)
