Do you work?

Right now I’m on disability but I may be able to work part time in the future

You don’t know your limitations.

How would you know

@Joker ok people let’s kiss and make up

Because no one can possibly say they have tried every type of job and ‘cannot work’

There are literally thousands of things to try before you reach that end

I work full time. It took me a long while to reach a point where I was able to do that.
I had to learn to set routines and stick to them, as well as work on increasing my social stamina.
It wasn’t easy, and I had a lot of symptoms at first, but I stuck to it and it paid off.

“ You’ve got the music in you ”. Are you a High School Musical fan?

Well yes, but it’s from a 90’s pop/rock song from a vastly underappreciated musiscian

I don’t have an unlimited life span to try all the thousands, I tried at least 23 off the top of my head.
Not Sure if the word disability makes sense to you but for the sake of health I have given up

Fair enough

Sad to hear you have reached that conclusion

Do u recieve disability funds ?

I have a hard time holding down jobs for a long time because of my illness. But I’ve been working full time since I was 18 I’m not 23. Got diagnosed SZA at 20. Been fired from 3 jobs since. It’s hard for me to stay for a long time at one job because I miss days frequently. I find it’s helpful to be open about your illness withHR and they can give you reasonable accommodation and as needed medical leave when I’m hospitalized.

Thank you so much!! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I am nervous about going back to work I am on a corporate disability plan. It’s a pretty sweet deal. I don’t want to loose it and not be able to get it back. Between renting out rooms in my house and that I don’t make any more money if I go back to work as a control systems engineer. I would like to get a job as a developer but it could be hard to get back on a corporate disability plan if I do that. And I have been up all night about once a week hearing things I don’t know if I can increase my medication to fix this yet. I think I would miss too much work if I am up all night once a week.

I’m on disability. Every other day I have a breakdown. Right now I have ideas of reference. Things that don’t not connect are connecting and I’m coming up with my own conspiracy theories. I feel like everyone’s in on me being sick like they work with whoever is doing this to me. Usually I just cut out all stimulation then I slowly feel a little better. Good things.
