Do you trust tap water?

I’ve noticed a lot of people have distrust of drinking tap water due them having chemicals thinking it’s unsafe. But people have to keep in mind without water treatment plant we couldn’t support our current United State population, most of the groundwater is contaminated by natural pollutants or man-made ones that only could be treated by advanced water treatment plant not a kitchen fridge filter.

We know it’s safe, it just tasted godawful for a while there. It was so bad that even double-filtering using Brita Elite filters couldn’t remove the funk.

I mean sorry about your funky tasting water. but I meant this towards people living in the US. Some people still believe fluoride conspiracy theories and there’s a lot of misinformation about the water treatment field in general but this ends up hurting local water treatment plants because people switch to bottle water and the plants lose more money leading to poorer treatment of the water in general.

We have those morons up north as well.

I don’t know if it’s the same in Canada, but at least here in the US, the EPA significantly lowers the standards for the treatment of water for private companies who make water bottles.

I’ll drink it ice cold but otherwise it tastes bad.

Do you trust tap water?

No, I suspect it has ulterior motives.

I don’t drink my tap water because it tastes bad. If it didn’t, I wouldn’t have a problem drinking it.

That said there are some places even in the US that have unsafe water. Just look at the Flint water crisis.

They are technically breaking the law by doing that, but apparently the federal government solution is just to keep giving fines to the local government.

I grew up in Columbia South Carolina and the water was very good and pure. Now I’m in an area that is bad. I heard some water has estrogen in it.

YEah well, Camp Lejeune is on TV for lawsuits all the time, and that WAS the government, so there are no guaranties, I guess.
