schizophrenia while delusional causes brain damage…my psychiatrist described it as a wild fire in your brain, the longer you’re delusional, the more damage you cause.

Most definitely for me.
I do believe I have a problem retaining knowledge after my schizophrenia became severe — I function normally but can’t remember s.h.i.t

My working memory is like an intellectually disabled. I feel so. But my long term memory isn’t that bad.
Cognitive effects of ASD vs cognitive effects of sz. ? Present before sz, but worsened by it? So many things to consider. I have very strong areas and weak areas of cognition . It’s certainly not a global impairment .
Lo me too, i forgot stuff too, i put things different places, my notices i put wrong things the fridge i think schizophrenia like changes the circuitry of brain somehow.
