If I have not had a psychosis in 8 1/2 years . Yes I take the meds but even then wouldn’t it be likely to have breakthrough symptoms even on meds. Yes they now say it’s bipolar but wondering how likely it is that it could still be sz.
that’s a quandry for your pdoc @anon80629714 if you are still on sz meds it’s likely you are still sz.

How many episodes did you have in the past @anon80629714 ? If it was only one, they shouldn’t have labeled you sz.

One is enough, I think. Now it may be residual schizophrenia

I’ve only had one episode but I definitely had some other symptoms but more like anxiety which may well be bipolar not sure

Nope. I get tired occasionally but that’s mostly due to side effects and taking on too much. I’m not a social person so it takes it out of me going out Soo much

Its all just labels at the end of the day tbh. Ive only had one psychotic episode where i heard voices and had racing images in my mind. But i tecnically only have the diagnoses of having a psychotic episode. Im not officialy sz on paper. They just told me if i want it to stop and get paid while doing it just join this study. But i guess if you hear voices even if it was just once your technically sz. But whats strange is ive read a couple threads on here where they said taking the meds acutally made them worse then what they were before. Idk the only way to really know your sz is to try and get off meds for a while. I know this girls x boyfriend is technically sz but he cant function on meds. His voices flare up every now and then but he got denied disability cause hes considered high functioning. So i mean by the definiton that i was told you can still be sz you can just control yourself. Either way its alright. I seen a woman on here that only needed APs for a year and now shes doing better. Even better off the meds from what i read. So overall there just labels really so they can treat what ever u had going on
