Heya rex. I found abilify to be extremely activating, I had to take it in the mornings. I was only sleeping 4 hours at a time. Ended with me stressed, sleep deprived, strung out, and hallucinating men sliting my eye lids open, saying they’ll make me see.
I take it at 9pm as it makes me sleepy since I quit coffee.
Also on that point, I’d completely recommend giving up coffee for about 2 weeks as a test just to see if it’s causing unnecessary anxiety when combined with abilify.
My abilify anxiety really dropped after I quit coffee.
When I was on Abilify I was told by my pdr and pharmacist to take it in the morning if its preventing me from sleeping, otherwise, at night. I had the choice. Before quitting my meds I was taking it in the morning. After getting on meds again I was taking it at night. It didn’t matter for me.
Abilify was highly activating for me and gave me insomnia.
I wish these ■■■■■■■ doctors would at least be consistent in their advice!
I only take 5mg as an add on to lower prolactin, but I was on 30mg pills, and it wrecked my sleep. So the thought of someone taking them at night puzzles the ■■■■ out of me to be honest!
