No, I don’t. I never drink enough to lose control. Only one drink a day is not enough for me to get belligerent or fall asleep. I stay perfectly sober.
Had my last drink June 20th, and I don’t plan on ever touching the stuff again. Hell, I freaked a little when I accidentally swallowed a tiny bit of mouthwash that has alcohol in it. I developed quite a tolerance for liquor, could kill a fifth like it was no big deal, didn’t even really get drunk off of it. I don’t think I was really even capable of getting drunk anymore. That’s never a good thing. So no, didn’t lose control when drinking, but I definitely lost control over my drinking. It took a hospital stay to break its hold over me. They gave me Librium for the withdrawals, so if I had withdrawals I never felt them.
I’m an alcoholic, so yes I lose control when drinking. 3 years sober now though, thanks to AA.
