No, I’ve never been there.
I live in the suburbs outside the city limits but it isn’t rural. We live in a neighborhood on a plot. Don’t really have any land. I would have liked to have moved in the next parish and had some land but every place I looked at my cell phone didn’t work there.
If we call the Police the sheriff comes. Not the city police. But like I said. There is nothing rural about it.
In 2005 my parents bought a second house in south west Florida and we escaped the winters four 15 years straight and would live in our house in Michigan in the summer. Now we are back in my old neighborhood with snow and cold, but it is what I grew up with and am used to. We have the house for sale in Florida.

I live in a city.
Have lived in rural areas.
Both have their pros and cons.
I prefer city and my husband prefers rural.
It’s going to be interesting when we buy a house on day.

I live in a tiny town of 300 lost souls six miles away from the nearest small town. This tiny town has all the problems of the big city with none of the benefits.

Ive always lived in the capital of Bulgaria, Sofia…
The bgs are cool. Sofia is not so big, so its ok i guess.
I lived though for 6 years in the southwest of France, where i got my bachelor degree, it was a calm city too, but nothing pretty interesting was happening there…
But i miss the country too, maybe its a better alternative for when we get older, closer to the nature etc etc

What kind of camera did you use to take those pics? The photos are breathtaking.
Sub Urban. Not a concrete jungle but not rural either.
Although full urban and fully rural isn’t too far from me.
Top one was a DJI Mini 2 drone (think flying mobile phone camera). Bottom one was my Samsung Galaxy S21+. It’s about 11 shots merged in Photoshop for the panoramic. I had driven north of town to follow the storm out and get lighting shots. Got set up and realized I had left my SD cards at home. Had to use my phone. The Canon EOS R5 didn’t leave the bag.

I had an S21 ultra that got stolen
But I have an S22 ultra now.
I never thought about taking a panorama. I might take one tomorrow of the sky line.

Burbs in the Bay Area, CA. Would love to live in some huge metropolitan area like Tokyo/Seoul, and move out of my parent’s place one day.

I live in a urban area in what used to be a small city. I live near one of the places I grew up as a kid. Most people don’t want to live here now but back in the day it was the place to be. It’s a shame how that happens.
