I grew up rural. Loved it. Moved to the city (hated it).
Am back rural now and this is what I am made for. A girl on a horse just passed my flat. The shepards flock the sheep through the village so they get new pastures.
This is what I am made for

my little town is surrounded by rural areas…if you go outside of town ten mins. you’re in the country…love it.
You still needing the AC on? Or has it cooled some?
I grew up rural (semi hated it)
Moved to the city (loved it)
Back in rural currently (now I love it lol)
nineties for two more weeks…hell yes the a/c units are on…haha…no worries…it’s not over a hundred anymore thank goodness… @el_Jimbobbio
I lived out in the sticks for a while on 50 acres by a dirt road.
It was fun taking a junkie Toyota truck through the woods and hitting trees.
Coyotes yelping every night.
I’d love to live in a small remote fishing village on the coast mountainous and great for walking
I lived out in the country next to a working ranch from 2005 to 2013.
Never again.
I like small to mid-sized towns. I live in the latter right now.
I’m five minutes from the countryside yet have good shopping, services, and health care.
I live rural but I’m about 15-20mins from places, 30mins if you want to go to a place with a mall and a Walmart. Live on one acre, surrounded by trees. We are about a mile away from a provincial lake. It was a long trip to and from school though when I was younger.
I lived in the city for a decade or more and came back. I enjoyed the city in my 20-30’s but I am content to stay in the country for my 40’s.
I like where i stay, small flat with shared garden.
City life or concrete jungle would be like hell for me even though we have loads of parks in our city.
I grew up rural. In college I moved to the city, and I never moved out of the city although I hated it, I don’t know why.
Big city life is stressful but I don`t have any other options.
I prefer a smaller city.
I live in a small rural English town, town goes back to Roman times 1500 years ago, it’s a very historic town, the church is 800 years old. Just like many 100s of similar towns in England. But we are surround by countryside all sides, Sherwood forest on our doorstep. 1000 year old castles in the city of Lincoln 40 minutes away. It’s very beautiful here.
Since I’m here where I am I ask myself why I’m there where I am
But I know I am
That sounds like a really nice and relaxing place to live @el_Jimbobbio
i live on the edge of a mid-sized city – lots of fruit orchards near where I live.
I lived rural until I was 17.
Detested it. Couldn’t wait to move to the city.
Except when I got there, I had no idea how to function around people.
Live in a mid size university town now, a couple of hours from my mom and sister in the city.
That’s how in the sticks I am. I hate that part well and the chickens at 1am lol.
Yep! Raccoons all over hell and a million deer who would love a blind date with my car bumper.
