Do you like your psychiatrist?

There is only one psychiatrist in my area so I have to get along with him else I have to drive 45 kilo’s to the nearest town where there are other psychiatrists.

But my psychiatrist is good. He tries his best to hear me out. He also ask me what meds to prescribe after he mentioned the possibilities to me.

2 Sessions ago he proposed that I could increase my sleeping pill or increase my mood stabaliser or increase my AP or ad another typical AP to the Abilify or ad a benzo as needed. I chose the benzo and I use it only and strictly when needed and it has done wonders for me.

Yes I like my pdoc. She’s gentle and explains things very clearly. Friendly and accommodating

Since getting sober I have come to like my psychiatrist, she’s a good doctor. I just didn’t see her that way during my drinking days.

I don’t like anybody especially myself

Apparently, we have a falling out. Never see your psychiatrist when you are dead tired and late to an appointment.

What psychiatrist?

The ones i had in the military we’re pretty good and i really liked all of them. And the one that i see as a veteran through the VA I like him too. But I only see him once a year or if I get worse again I can see him whenever I want to.

I love my psychiatrist problem is he is nearing retirement. Hope he’s staying until I am stable.

(Sarcasm)Haha haha! Sorry I had a negligent psychiatrist. Going to see new one soon

I’m on the fence about the nurse practitioner I see for meds.

On the one hand, she seems like she knows what she’s doing.

On the other hand, she ignores every side effect I experience and tells me it’s not the meds. I get that she can’t really do anything about these things, but it would be nice to feel validated every once in a while.

One thing that bugs me is she won’t let me try another antipsychotic. It’s risperidone or bust because according to her it’s the best one.

She’s not an easy person to disagree with.

I’ve actually been thinking about finding someone else…

Head indian dude is the worst, but he let me see the nice doctors in their practice after the first visit she was the best. Then one tried to hit on me and was like twice my age. Then a painfully underqualified lady, then another, then a weirdly religious almost antipsychiatry person lol. All within 3 years same office

I like my whole early intervention team actually. They are such a good bunch.

Yeah. Mine is top shelf. Great guy and great doctor. He’s in a demand and it’s hard to see him but he’s kept me as a patient after I’d left years ago and took me back when I was psychotic. Bulk bills which is great as I don’t have to fork out the money!

He is a cool guy. He’s a great listener and very smart. Always willing to work with me. He can get his patients in as soon as they need to be seen and even though his standard appt time is 15 mins he will never rush you and wil give you whatever time you need. He also charges sooo much less than the average pdoc.

Love her to bits

Are u from Russia?
