I love it but I don’t think I would want to live there. I grew up going there. I like the anonymity of if all. Blending in to the millions of everyday people.
I go every Wednesday to see my dr on the upper west side. I look forward to the trip.

I live in NYC.
I always had this feeling that other parts of the world would be better. but some places don’t have the same English language. I can only speak English.
and I think some places don’t like people from my country. NYC accepts all though.
I went there for a long weekend, not a cheap trip, went to the play 42nd street, visited times square, wall street, was okay, I think everyone should go their once, Could not afford to live there.
The closest I’ve ever been to New York City is when I lived in Philly, lived there for a year back in the early 2000s. Incidentally, that’s where I was living when I had my first psychotic break. I never bothered making the trip to NYC, just didn’t seem worth the trouble. My favorite place I’ve lived was in Upper Michigan, where @mjseu (who started this thread last year) said he/she went to school. I lived there for four years while I did my undergrad, before I got sick. I loved the people there, so friendly and down to earth. @Rhubot, you liked Detroit? I’m from southeast Michigan, and not many people like Detroit, rough city. Downtown Detroit is making a comeback, though.
I love Detroit, @scoobasteve. I agree, pretty rough. It’s been through the wringer. Love the people there, though, and love the things they’re trying to do to turn it around.
