Have you tried the weighted blanket designed to help ? Seems to have good reviews.
I have anxiety including when being around old friends, so much so that I don’t meet them atm. It’s just two of them. The anxiety stems from the trauma from psychosis aswell as the side effects of meds.
I’m really sorry @anon90843118 maybe you could benefit from the weighted blanket too. I’m not advertising just wondering people’s experiences with it.
I’ve never heard of the weighted blanket but just looked it up. It looks really cosy.
Might get it!
Thanks
I have a weighted blanket. I tried one that was 12kgs, but I kept kicking it off at night because it was too heavy. I’m using a 7kg one now, and it works really well.
I find it relaxing.
Before I got it I would toss and turn all night, now I still toss and turn a bit, but not nearly as much.
I have insomnia as well just started a trial of seroquel
I would love to have a weighted blanket. I wonder if Walmart sell them.
Before anti psychotics I slept like once every 2 1/2 days. It was awful
I sleep very little, which is not good because I work the graveyard shift on the weekends.
Will definitely look up the blanket and give it a try.
I used to have a lot of trouble sleeping for years but these days it’s been ok. I hope you find a solution soon it really is no fun. The weighted blanket sounds like a good idea.
I haven’t tried a weighted blanket. Since being on Abilify I sleep from 11pm to 2am every single frigging night. I want so bad to just sleep a normal amount and not have to figure out what to do with myself at 2 in the morning.
