I have many routines, for example, I prepare my breakfast, have my meds and vitamins ready already in the evening for the next morning, I just need to turn on my coffee maker and then I have my morning coffee, I have many routines like this, … also when I eat, I wash my dishes immediatey after eating, and so on …
I think that’s great! Things are more peaceful that way. I would like to be more like that, more organized
Never had a routine …i love freedom .!!! Freedom is never good hahaha…
@far_cry0 Hey man, what’s up!
I have a daily routine. For example, everyday when I wakeup I exercise a different muscle group for about 30 minutes then go for a 30 minutes walk or jog depending on how my knees feel. I also watch certain TV shows at the same time of day like news in the afternoon.
There are many articles on the net how daily routines help schizophrenics, I have found routines very helpful f.ex. in controlling paranoia and paranoid thoughts … routines are helpful, we just need to establish these routines for our personal lives.
yeah, I keep a routine but I’m not pedantic about it. I want to avoid becoming OCD.
I have one OCD symptom, but my routines help also with that …
I’m like @mjseu. I make my breakfast in the morning with my coffee, take my meds, then, wash my dishes, then read my books and papers, then meditate, then clean myself up, etc…etc…
I have started a routine for before and after I do my volunteer shifts. I only do these shifts once a week but I find it really helps me manage any work stress (including paranoia).
I’m also hoping to start an online course in the fall so I’ll probably work a daily routine into my schedule by then.
I have far too much time on my hands so I break up my day into meditation sessions-one in the morning and one in the afternoon. I take things as they come, part acts, one day at a time. and am always on the look out for the arising of symptoms. I do my food shopping in the morning. Weather permitting, I make sure to get in at least one ride a day on my bicycle until I get tired. I also make sure to rest. I eat when I am hungry. I make sure that I go to my two Buddhist groups during the week.
I do the same thing everyday it gets boring tbh
at night i watch last week tonight with john oliver, while im eating my salad as i am on a weightloss journey. this is usually after my walk when i listen to my podcasts.
i go to sleep around midnight and wake up around midday (hopefully). in school i might be a bit more awake at times when i have like a lecture or something .
I’ve been diagnosed with an asd and I’ve always been very ritualistic and routine based and very upset if it’s disrupted and I think it’s because of that
I wish I had a routine of any kind, I never know what’s going to happen from minute to the next.
