In the past I have had cats, but not now any longer. It has been studied that pets are beneficial in many treatments.

Are even mental health service dogs today. Which is much like a guide dog for the blind, but for the mentally ill. Which include sz so being able to inform the owner if the person they are talking to is real or not. They will drop everything and offer affection if the owner is struggling with anxiety, Getting back on track if a person gets a bit lost and disoriented the list goes on. They are classes as a service dog. So legally you can take them anywhere even a bomb shelter.
Myself I have had dogs, cats, a horse and a mouse in the past. Last pet (cat) went awol. I’m still hoping on some level the microchip will help return him. That and haven’t had the heart to replace him.

I have five goldfish - Comet, Gloop, Speckles, Honey and Splat. They are a pleasure to watch! Honey is my prize fish - a beautiful shiny, gold like honey.

I once owned three cats and two dogs. I was self medicating at that time and my pets where not being taken care of properly so I had to give them up to the animal shelter. I fed them and gave them water everyday but they developed too many problems for me to afford to have fixed. The cats were indoor- out- door cats and would always make noise at the door to let me know they needed in or out.
Now I just take care of the local smaller creatures by providing them a natural setting and some man made shelters in my front and back yards. They take care of themselves. (Tree Frogs) mostly. They are nocturnal I found out latter.
I also had 5 people in all living with me at the same time and we were all animals back then. I even got beat up once by my own tenant when I got too drunk and was running my mouth and pissed him, (a black body builder) off one night. He pummeled my ribs so hard that I couldn’t laugh for weeks.
I have two spayed little female cats. One tortiseshell and one black. I also have two diamond doves. My animals are my best friends. They never judge me or expect things of me. Ha Ha, except food and water.

I have three dogs and two cats. They are a great support system for me. I think they saved my life at times.
I have three cats. I will probably only take two with me when I move.
I want small dog eventually. That I would take everywhere, can’t have pets where I live now.
