I did once. We hung out for 3 and a half years. That was 10 years ago. How about you? Including husband and wife’s.

I work with someone who has schizoaffective disorder. Good to find people going trough the same things as me.

Most of my friends come from my clubhouse and either have sz or another mental illness.

I have a friend with sz but he doesn’t have any symptoms while medicated. He’s on abilify shots.

Several of my past friends had schizophrenia. I knew one guy for four years in the 1980’s until I lost touch and then I ran into him again in 1999. One guy I knew for four years also and lost touch then learned years later he had committed suicide. The last friend I had who had schizophrenia I knew from 1992-1998. I’ve had other schizophrenic, bipolar and OCD friends.

Yes, I have a good friend who lives in my building who is also dx’ed.
He’s pretty high functioning and doesn’t get too many positive or negative symptoms. He’s on meds too.

My ex wife had it pretty bad. We had to get divorced because she started getting really paranoid and accusing me of spying on her and other crap. She also had borderline personality disorder symptoms probably partly because she was severely abused as a child. It became really stressful when she started using cannabis and she stopped taking her prolixin. I no longer felt safe enough being around her.
I made a couple friends over the years who also get sz symptoms. My one friend is a bit burned out and doesn’t want to go out much anymore. He is mostly content though and has his own house.

I don’t have friends I can hang out with but I’m friends with my x in Sweden who has bipolar.
We talk on phone every few weeks because he doesn’t have internet.
He is only friend I have as such.
I have imaginary other friends.
I had a boyfriend in Australia who was schizophrenic before I was diagnosed.
He kept saying he is Jesus and obsessing about things he kept me up all night ranting about such.
He also threatened to kill me if his family didn’t follow him to city .he held me in strangle n stuff and was a kickboxer so i didn’t stand a chance.
I had another boyfriend who has ptsd .
You guys on the forum May be my forum online friends in a way.

i don’t, but i do have a friend with BPD (borderline personality disorder). in some ways i feel like we have totally opposite symptoms and it can honestly be difficult rather than beneficial sometimes

No, not outside of this forum. I do have friends with other mental illnesses. My partner has depression and ADHD.
