Do you get anxiety leading up to pdoc appointment?

I have to go in less than 2 hours and I have butterflies in my tummy and I really don’t want to go. I’m totally dreading leaving the house. I’m sick to my stomach about it actually. I don’t know why. I hate having to go, especially early. I don’t know why I made such an early appointment. Normally I know better. Maybe that’s all they had. I don’t know. I just want to cancel. Sigh. Oh God I hate anxiety.

Yes and its the reason why I’m always 30 minutes to an hour early for my appointments… always… it gives me time to relax and settle when I’m there …

No. I just did mine on the phone. Good for another 6 months.

I get anxiety before appointments. But it’s important to go. Yesterday, for my appointment, I talked about my anxiety here and got some support. Then I planned out what I wanted to talk about. Just before the appointment I did squared breathing. My appointment went fine.

I always get anxiety before going to the pdoc, but thankfully, my last few appointments have been over the phone. Much less anxiety that way. On the flip side, it’s tougher to get better help and care over the phone. So there’s pros and cons, I guess

I used to get anxious. However I know her quite well now so I don’t anymore.

I do not. They are usually pretty quick and straightforward.

I’m waiting for my ride, they’re late, another thing to be anxious about.

Good luck @Leaf I know the feeling.

My anxiety used to go through the roof going to the clinic in town.

I prefer it over the phone

Yes I get anxiety but I also look forward to unburdening myself and asking questions and getting help.

I either get diagnosed with something new or have meds adjusted and I hate that. I hate meds inducing something new that more meds are needed to fix.

I asked it was going to be like this for life and was told yes. Meds adjusted constantly for life and occasional hospitalizations as needed for life.

Needless to say I get nervous when I have an appointment.

I’m the reverse. I get anxiety after. It’s probably consider paranoia not anxiety.

Yes, about a week leading up to it, this is from shady past doctors, and the fact the last 3 appointments I’ve had the previous doc dipped out and didn’t contact me. #nobaddays
