I have a messenger bag I take everywhere with me. It goes over the shoulders and when out. I never take it off. I hardly ever lose things. I keep my wallet in the zipped pocket inside the bag. I have my sunglasses. Messenger bags are particularly good for traveling abroad. Never been pickpocket with it also because I never take it off I don’t leave it behind after a few drinks.
I have several backpacks I usually wear when I’m out but haven’t recently because I’m in a wheelchair a lot when I’m out because of my most recent surgery… It’s so hard to carry anything right now even a backpack or purse
I have two Osprey backpacks plus a large backpacking Osprey backpack when I decided to go backpacking but didn’t go. I prefer suitcases now with wheals when travelling.
I typically always have a bag that can show off the pins I’ve collected. Currently I have a really cute one that my partner got me that has moons on it and can display my pins
I rarely carry my purse. And the one I do have is like the smallest cross body I could get that would hold just absolute necessities. I mean very thin wallet, rescue inhaler, pen and I can fit keys, cigs and some coupons if needed when I’m not wearing a hoodie with pockets. Most women look at me strange when they see the size of my purse considering they carry half their belongings with them in theirs everywhere they go.
I love it. I used to carry a typical purse, but once I started using mini backpacks… I could never go back to regular purses.
From the top of my head, I carry: my wallet with cards and some cash, my prescription sunglasses, a lens cleaning cloth (for glasses), some feminine hygiene products in case of emergency, some lotion, asthma rescue inhaler, glucagon injection kit (if I pass out from low blood sugar), glucose tablets (quickly gets blood sugar back up, just need to be chewed), a regular pen, doggy poop bags, hand sanitizer, diabetes blood testing kit (in case my continuous glucose monitor stops working), an extra insulin infusion site for emergencies, alcohol swabs, an emergency charging device for my insulin pump, lip balm, AM and PM pills (just in case)…
It’s a lot. But it all fits. And it’s still got a bit of room left, so not filled to max capacity.
