Do you think meds really work? What’s your experience?
Yeah, i do.
Risperdal injection helps me.
It can be hard to find the right med…
May I ask what symptoms it helps control?
It does NOT take away the problems it just makes them easier to cope with them
My Laughing and voices mainly.
Do you think they are just sedating?
I was deep in delusions before being ordered to take meds. I was in these delusions for over a year at the time. Shortly after being given med I broke free of these delusions. Some of them faded quicker than others…but yes, meds definitely do work.
It depends bc different meds affect different people differently
i was taking one med that was too strong for a long time but luckily i got lucky and found something that was very good.
My med works very well, so much so that i am optimistic about the future,
Meds work better for some than others though, this is true. Some people are also med resistant…but they are certainly not placebo.
In my case, they worked very effectively.
They’ve helped keep me productive as a member of society for over two and a half decades. I’m grateful to have access to good meds.
That’s wonderful! What is considered a delusion?
If it’s ok, can I ask what symptoms they helped with?
You can certainly ask.
They definitely work.
Made a dramatic difference in my life.
A delusion is just a untrue belief that is contradicted by reality.
For example, I would see writing or something and think that it was a sign from God that I saw it. That it was a personal message to me.
Could a delusion be something like, feeling like your life prior to schizophrenia never happened?
could be I suppose, if you truly believe that it never happened.
Feeling your past or past memories aren’t real could also be a symptom of depersonalization-derealization disorder as well I guess.
IDK.
May I ask how they helped?
Yes the meds really work.
Just have to find the right ones
The definitely work. It isy worth being off of them.
