Do you believe in twin flames and or soulmates?

Here are a couple of sites explaining what soulmates and twin flames are.

I don’t see how a polygamist husband that has multiple wives would call each wife a soulmate. Finding a significant other is more of timing, proximity, chance, mutual interests and approval of physical appearance.

Well if you read it, it isn’t talking about a significant other necessarily. It doesn’t have to be romantic.

Most people get into relationships but aren’t really compatible beyond an attraction. The concept itself is referring to another person who helps the soul evolve.

I think it’s a great concept. I just read about it the other day actually.

We are intertwined with spirits that are watching over us

It’s like Bill Hicks the comedian once said :

It’s going to take a real special girl for me to settle down
or a bunch of average ones.

He was a funny guy.

Yeah I prefer to believe certain people come into our lives for different reasons. I considered my husband my soulmate.

I believe there are strong matches that exist but don’t believe in twin flames. I think it is nonsense.

Yes, but not in the typical ‘soul mate’ way.

You can find a soulmate who is a best friend, or a teacher, or a lover. You may never meet your soulmate. You might meet 3 soulmates. It depends.

Maybe soul mates are so connected because they knew one another in a past life. Who knows.

I have had similar thoughts which can be incredibly romantic but also great with others.

I can not explain.

No. We are energy. When we pass we return to energy. I know
I used to be a toaster.

So, you used your energy to toast the bread, eh?!

For me, its a real fine line when believing in something like Twin flames because of its 11:11 connection, synchronocities , deities, entities, source, after life, reincarnation, etc.

The whole premise is one that mimickes delusions of grandeaur, that the feminine and masculine are “special chosen souls” who incarnate on earth to, “Help save mankind” while at the same time you can, "interact with a higher self of your twin flame, in another dimension and talk telepathically (sounds alot like schiz. btw)
which is a schiz like myself’s wet dream-

thinking I’m special and godlike, and chosen, and here to carry out a secret special quest to save the human race. Which feeds into my delusions and then I can’t tell what’s twin flame theory and what’s religious/spiritual delusion .
so for me I have to stay away from stuff like that, as I tend to take it & run with it, then carried off by it, to delusion land
 then hospital.

Excuse me??? You do realize that there are mixed people on this forum, right?

I don’t believe in these concepts because they don’t even make sense.

I do believe we and everything are energy but as far as soul mates go, I agree with @vallumprincess. I can’t say for sure if we all have a twimflame though.

Everyone is mixed to a certain degree. Hardly anyone is “pure bread” or else most people in the world would be inbreeds. You can be white and be of a mixed ancestory because nobody is pure anything
unless they’re an inbreed.

You think there is such thing as a pure american? Nope. The majority of americans are white, but white americans still have ancestors from different countries. Just like most black americans have ancestors that come from africa, which is many countries
mixed doesn’t come down to skintone. It’s a mix of different ancestories. Go ahead and argue, but it’s invalid

Edit: guess where all humans originate and then tell me that the majority of us aren’t mixed.

Let’s agree to disagree. There’s the positive in the negative. Regardless to me there is only one race. The human race.

@SpacemanInvader There are multiple ethnicites (种族) of the human race (äșșç±») separated by geography (㜰æ–č) & language (èŻèš€).
