Yes.
I love myself.

Well many others don’t seem to.

But others don’t seem to…
Well many others don’t seem to.
How do I love thee
Let me count the ways
I love thee to the depth, the breath, the height
The soul does seek
when reaching out of sight
I think the poem was Elizabeth Barrett Browning
No. I was in an abusive relationship and have never quite recovered from it.
That, combined with my psychotic break, has left my self-esteem pretty low. Like, I really don’t think it could get any lower.
Sigh.
I find that respecting yourself to the extent that you are content with yourself is a fair state of mind to live in. Whether or not I love myself doesn’t matter to me and the idea just seems weird. I also feel that some people love themselves too much and it turns into people who are just out for themselves. I think it’s similar to people who take the idea of “confidence” and use it to justify egotism.
Yes it was. Addressed to her hubby, Robert Browning.
The one I quoted was by Robert Burns.
Kinda love it, kinda not. It is a hard question as most of the time I feel like I hate myself.
Self hate. No wonder why I gotta watch it with other people.
Yeah I do. I want to say I also hate myself but I think I don’t really. I think I get angry with myself, I think I get disappointed with myself. But I don’t hate myself.
